The Joe Caruso Golf Academy has become, in four short years,one of the best places in San Antonio and the surrounding areato learn and practice golf. The Academy is not only for adults but alsooffers area juniors a great place to practice as well. The junior golfer isessential to the growing game in San Antonio, as well as the sport ofgolf as a whole.

One of the most important things that we at the Joe Caruso GolfAcademy are doing is giving back to the community. We have continuouslygiven to non–profit organizations either through donationsof golf lessons and golf range memberships or through donationsof time. We have donated close to $10,000 in 4 years and willcontinue to do so. It is our way ofthanking the community.
Another important aspect ofour golf facility is making sure thatwe have a place for the juniors. Itis getting harder for the juniorgolfer to practice at quality facilitieswithout breaking the bank,so we have opened our doorsand provided discounts on juniormemberships and range buckets.By providing reasonable pricing, we have many high schools, middleschools and universities that use our facility to practice and welook forward to having their teams come out every week. As JoeCaruso states, “It is very important and encouraging to see all thejuniors come here to practice because my brother and I played juniorgolf and realize how lucky we were to have several places to goand have fun and learn golf. We offer everything that a junior needsto learn. Not only do we have the facility for the juniors to use butwe also organize part of the Southern Texas PGA junior tournamentsduring the summer months and now during the winter.”

According to the STPGA website, the events will beopen to all members of the Southern Texas PGA Little Linksters,and Junior Tour programs. The events will run from November2008 thru May 2009. On the teaching sideof the equation, Joe CarusoGolf Academy has becomeone of only five facilities in thecountry to install and operate state of the art 3–D video analysisequipment called Motion Golf. This system can analyze your fullswing and putting stroke.
In a recent Motion Golf Company release describing our facility,they state, “Motion Golf studios are unique in their use offull–body, 3–D Swing Analysis to create a complete and integratedswing. Most importantly, the 3–D system can be used in a lesson,giving the golfer instant bio–feedback for the quickest pathto increased accuracy and distance on the course.
