The dental team of Dr. William J. Stewart Jr. returned all smiles from the Annual Crown Council Event held recently in Orlando, Florida. The Crown Council is an international roundtable of leading edge dentists throughout North America. They’re committed to excellence and join together to share their ideas and talents to improve the health and wellness in their communities through charitable work. After being nominated by his team for the Members Choice Award for “Best Dentist to Work For”, the members of the international Crown Council voted and made the presentation to Dr Stewart during the annual event’s black tie dinner. “The award is a reflection of the professional and compassionate team members that I am honored to work with. They share our practice philosophy of improving patient’s lives through their smiles”, says Dr. Stewart.
Dr. William “Billy” Stewart graduated in 1981 from the prestigious UTHSC in San Antonio at the young age of 24. He’s been practicing the art of dentistry for over 25 years. Dr. Stewart is a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The American Orthodontic Society and the San Antonio District Dental Society, where he’s served as the Chairman of the Emergency Call Committee and as a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Stewart was also recently nominated and selected by his colleagues as one of San Antonio’s Top Dentist.

Dr. Stewart has had the honor to treat professional athletes, music recording artist, sports commentators and the wonderful people who constitute the beautiful city of San Antonio, from those just entering the work force to the seasoned CEO’s of major companies. “The ability to take a fearful patient, then design and create his or her beautiful smile while ultimately improving a life has made dentistry an exciting and rewarding profession that I enjoy immensely,” Dr. Stewart says.
As a member of the Crown Council, Dr. Stewart and his team raise money for the Smiles for Life Foundation that provides children with serious health conditions and educational deficiencies with the resources they need to live full and exciting lives. Since 1998, the Crown CouncilÂ’s Smiles for Life Foundation has received nearly 22 million dollars that has benefited nearly 500 childrenÂ’s charities across North America.
WHITEN YOUR TEETH AND BE THEIR HERO People everywhere have the desire to give. They do so to help friends, neighbors and even strangers. They donate to causes everyday and never expect to get anything in returned. ItÂ’s not often that people get the chance to help others while helping themselves. But from March 1 through June 30, local dentist Dr. Billy Stewart is presenting everyone with a unique opportunity to have their teeth professionally whitened while donating all of the proceeds to childrenÂ’s charities. Dr. Stewart and his team offer professional tooth whitening to patients for less than the normal cost.
The Smiles for Life Foundation is the childrenÂ’s charity organization of the Crown Council. Each year over a four–month period, Crown Council dentists participating in the Smiles for Life campaign offer professional tooth whitening at less than their normal fee and donate 100% of the proceeds to childrenÂ’s charities across the United States and Canada.
Through a unique partnership with legendary entertainer Garth Brooks and his Teammates for Kids Foundation, Smiles for Life is able to guarantee that all of the money raised by Crown Council members like Dr. Billy Stewart goes to childrenÂ’s charities in this community and communities across North America. Together they are making a difference and giving children the gift of a smile.
Dr. Stewart and his team have made it their goal for 2007 to donate one half of the proceeds to the local Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and the other half to the Smiles for Hope Foundation. Through Smiles for Hope, Dr. Stewart and his team will travel to the Dominican Republic to provide much needed dental care for the children.
