EnergyX Fitness will ring in the New Year with some exciting news looking for a different type of workout: Owners Danny and Alison Galvan have recently opened a second location at Hemisfair in the bottom level of The ’68 apartment complex, 623 Hemisfair Blvd. Their other location is at 5162 Broadway.
So with 2020 less than a week away, now is the time to commit to your New Year’s resolutions of getting yourself to the gym to achieve your health and fitness goals, whether that be to shred a few pounds of fat or become a lean, mean fighting machine you’ve always envisioned.
And EnergyX Fitness has any type of workout your heart and body desires, as well as the equipment.
“EnergyX is unique in that we use a lot of unconventional equipment like the TRX suspension trainer, kettle bells, battle ropes, and water rowers. Equipment you might not see in a standard box gym or another boutique studio.” Alison said.
EnergyX Fitness, Danny adds, is different compared to your standard gym. “We offer high-intensity, low-impact classes, teaching with a methodical approach. When you come in, you’re going to work up a good sweat. But we’re very mindful of how we’re going to teach you those exercises and execute those easily on your body.”
Every week, the gym offers more than 50 classes and a variety for you to choose from. “Whether it’s the high-intensity or the low-impact aspect of class or just looking to get after it, we have something for you,” Danny said.
EnergyX Fitness is also big on bringing fitness to the community. “We do free classes at the Pearl, Hemisfair, the DoSeum, and around town,” Alison said, adding that she encourages anyone who is looking to get in shape for 2020 to try something new.
For those looking for the new Hemisfair location, here are some helpful directions. From East Cesar Chavez Boulevard, turn right at Hemisfair Boulevard. Enter the parking garage on the left after Commonwealth Coffee. Parking is always validated.
